It’s really fun to keep track of all the little things changing in Chrome OS as the days wear on. While we are still waiting for the Beta Channel aesthetic changes to hit stable, other little tweaks are coming along as well.
In addition to the Play Store coming in just a few weeks to the stable channel with so many aesthetic changes we’ve seen coming down the pipe, another little, interesting change is showing up in the Developer Channel.
While little tweaks like this don’t make much difference in the day-to-day operation of Chrome OS, it is nice to see the graphic design of Chrome OS and Android continue to take from each other.
If you happen to be in the Developer Channel, you’ll see the Play Store icon is now changed from the small shopping bag to the circular button we see on the Google Pixel.
As the Pixel is the centerpiece for Google’s hardware campaign, it is great to see small parts of that UI making their way to Chromebooks. As the official rollout of the Play Store finalizes in the coming weeks, we’re likely to continue seeing more moves like this.
