While the Chromium developers are busy preparing for the roll out of Chrome OS 55, the guys and gals of the Chrome for Android team have announced the official release of the Chrome 55 browser for Android.
The update, which will begin rolling out this week, contains the regular buffet of security updates and stability fixes. With it comes a few new features as well as some much anticipated performance enhancements.

What’s New
Some of the new features include the ability to download content within Chrome for offline viewing and the ability to share your downloads from the browser.
