Haier is no stranger to the world of Chrome OS. In 2015 they released their budget-friendly Chromebook 11 based off of the same RK3288 processor as the original ASUS Flip. The global leader in consumer electronics has now announced they are jumping into the Chromecast arena with a new lineup of cast-enabled televisions.
We are excited to launch this new partnership with Google and offer consumers the best in entertainment experience. With Chromecast built into our televisions we make it easy for consumers to get access to their favorite shows, movies, music, sports, games, and more.
John Homlish, President, Haier America’s Digital Products Group
Haier joined the list of companies debuting Chromecast embedded products at CES 2017 in Las Vegas this week and plan on launching the new line of televisions in the second quarter of this year. The devices will range from 43″ to 75″ and will leverage over 1000 applications available to users via their smartphones, tablets and laptops.
With the click of a button consumers will be able to cast content from YouTube, Netflix, ESPN and many more. Pricing is still unannounced but you can bet with the every growing market of cast-enable devices Haier will be coming in at a very competitive price-point.
