While we’re head over heels for the new Chromecast with Google TV, there are a lot of Android TV streaming devices on the market that offer the same 4K capabilities and give users a remote, the Google Play Store, Chromecast built-in all at an affordable price. We definitely recommend Google’s iteration but the options are many and the one you choose is really all about your personal preference.

I’m not really interested in the AirTV Mini but I have to be honest, Sling TV is looker better and better every day for my home. With the price of YouTube TV nearly doubling since its debut and the fact that it still lacks A&E networks, we’ve decided that Google’s streaming TV option is no better than regular cable for us. However, at $30/month, Sling TV combined with a streaming device and our multiple subscriptions like Netflix and Disney+ may be the cord-cutting, money-saving option we’ve been looking for. The extra 4K streaming device will just be a little icing on the cake.
