Best Buy’s Top Deals saves you $230 on this awesome Chromebook Plus

It’s almost beginning to feel like the Acer Chromebook Plus 516 GE has found a new pricing structure. While that’s likely not actually the case, this larger-than-life Chromebook has been consistently on sale since mid-January, and for the past few weeks, it’s held between $200-$230 off. That’s a massive discount on a device that retails for $649 all day, every day.

We’ve been over this time and time again, but the Acer Chromebook Plus 516 GE just gets so much right that a $419 asking price (take off another $50 if you trade in and recycle literally ANY laptop, regardless of condition) feels nearly impossible.

As a reminder, with this big Chromebook, you’re getting a 16-inch QHD (2560×1600) 16:10 screen that is bright (350 nits) and smooth (120Hz). And even with this massive size, you get an ultra-rigid chassis that only weighs in at 3.75 pounds. With the addition of an RGB keyboard, massive OceanGlass trackpad, and a massive array of ports (that includes an RJ-45 2.5G Gigabit Ethernet LAN port), there’s little else you could ask for in a big, fast Chromebook.

The internals got a bump on this model as well, and inside you’re getting the Intel Core Ultra 5-120U, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of NVMe storage. Throw in upward-firing speakers, a 1080p camera, and a pretty sweet all-black paint job and this device not only performs, but looks pretty sweet doing it as well.

So, when you factor in all of these perks and note the final asking price as $419, it’s no wonder this Chromebook Plus is right up top on Best Buy’s Top Deals right now. This is the Chromebook I use on my desk most days, and I can’t recommend it enough. I’d usually say to go get it right now before the deal expires, but this device has been on sale for weeks on end – so who knows? Still, it might end after this week, and this is a deal you simply don’t want to miss.
