Anyone who has used the popular appointment booking service Calendly will know that it’s extremely useful in helping them fit others into their busy schedules by creating preset times when they are available. Potential clients can then choose from these pre-determined times and slot themselves into position for an appointment with you.
Sadly, this feature has never existed in Google Calendar. Calendly has many other customized scheduling tools that make it stand out from Google’s offerings, but luckily for Workspace users Calendar itself is picking up the basics in its latest update.
As you can see below, choosing the ‘Create’ button where you’d normally fire up editing for a new, standard event will now give you an “Appointment schedule” option. Here, you’ll be able to set up your very own booking page complete with available appointment times, specified meeting durations to choose from, and more.
To clarify, appointment slots are already a thing internally with Workspace users, but this new feature allows you to create an externally facing booking page so that anyone – even clients without Google accounts – can set up a time to meet with you to conduct important business!

In addition to setting up your availability, you can also set a booking page photo, name, and scheduling window so that no one takes you by surprise with a last-minute meeting. When clients or external users visit your booking page, it will show them all of the aforementioned information and let them click through to finalize things as they wish based on your availability.

Anyone with a Rapid Release domain can start taking advantage of this as it gradually rolls out over the next two weeks, but those with Scheduled Release domains will have to wait for a full rollout starting April 6, 2022. Luckily, this rollout will only take up to three days at the most for the latter group of users.
