Google’s latest Nest Cam Outdoor (2nd Gen) wired camera is currently on sale at Best Buy. You can grab a single camera for $119.99, which is a nice $30 discount off its usual $149.99 retail price. If you need to cover more area, Best Buy is also knocking $50 off the 2-pack, bringing it down to $199.99.

Released back in October 2025, this second-generation camera will bring a big boost to your outdoor security setup. It features 2K HDR video, delivering the best image quality we have seen on a Nest camera to date. Alongside the resolution bump, it also includes a wider field of view and greatly improved low-light performance thanks to some upgraded sensors.

That upgraded hardware is actually what unlocks the new Gemini for Home camera features. With this camera, you get much more detailed notifications, like an alert that specifically says your dog jumped out of a playpen rather than just a generic motion warning. You can also search your video history using natural language to ask questions about specific events, and use the new Home Brief feature to get a quick, digestible summary of hours of footage.

Google also improved the features that are included right out of the box with no subscription required. This new camera now comes with six hours of free event video history, effectively doubling the three hours offered on the previous generation.

While this specific model is a wired camera, that setup honestly makes a lot more sense for outdoor applications. When your camera is mounted high up under an eave or above a garage, running a constant power wire is far more convenient than dragging out a ladder to recharge a battery every few months.
