Black Friday is officially here. We’ve already covered most of the available deals because many retailers began rolling out the savings days if not weeks ago, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t new deals to discover. Thanks to some thrifty shopping acrobatics, you could pick up Samsung’s ultra-premium 2-in-1 Galaxy Chromebook for as little as $629. That’s the exact same money that the Acer Spin 713 and HP x360 14c go for when not on sale.

The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook won our top pick for best device of 2020 in the $650 and above category and we all agree, you won’t find a better, more attractive Chromebook in this price range. That said, $1,000 is a lot of money to dole out for any Chromebook and it’s a hard sell when you have devices such as the Spin 713 that offer so many great features and all-around great design. However, those wanting the most premium Chrome OS experience available should definitely consider the Galaxy and for a limited time, you can do so on a mid-range budget.

Right now, Best Buy and Samsung are both selling the Galaxy Chromebook for the decently low price of $799 but you can use these budget hacks to get that price down even lower. The first trick is to sign up for Rakuten. The cashback giant normally offers a conservative 3% return when you shop at Samsung.com but because it’s Black Friday, you can score 15% towards your Big Fat Check from Rakuten. That alone brings the price of the Galaxy down roughly $670. (You’re welcome).

If you’re looking to stretch that dollar even further, you can check out Samsung’s Discount Programs. The online shop offers discounts up to 30% on select items and you can enjoy these benefits if you are an eligible student, first responder, government employee, or so on and so forth. With a student discount, for example, you will save $59.92 on top of the $200 discount already offered on the Galaxy. Toss in the cashback from Rakuten and you’ve stolen this Core i5, 4K Chromebook for just under $629. Oh yeah, if you’re new to Rakuten, you’ll also get an extra $40 bonus in your account after your first qualifying purchase. All you have to do is sign up for a free Rakuten account with our link below and shop your normal shopping sites with the Chrome extension enabled. Bingo, Bango. You’re a cashback aficionado. That would get you this Chromebook for under $600 and that’s just crazy but, it is Black Friday.
