Google has officially opened up pre-orders for its latest mid-range smartphone, the Pixel 10a, at several retailers ahead of its full retail launch on March 5th. If you have already decided that you want to secure your new phone, there are a few excellent pre-order incentives floating around, if you know where to look!
Google Pixel 10a Best Buy offer
If you are looking for the absolute best value without trading in an older device, Best Buy currently has a great offer. When you pre-order the $499 Pixel 10a in any of its four colorways—Berry, Fog, Obsidian, or Lavender—with 128GB of storage, Best Buy is tossing in a $100 gift card.
The savings get even better if you are willing to activate the phone through your cellular carrier during the checkout process. Best Buy is offering an additional $100 instant discount for carrier activations. When combined with the gift card, you could effectively walk away with Google’s latest phone for just $300.
Google Store Pixel 10a bundles and trade-ins
For those who prefer to stay within the Google ecosystem and buy directly from the source, the Google Store is offering a compelling bundle through March 11th. You can choose between receiving a $100 store credit or a free pair of Pixel Buds 2a’s alongside your purchase.
The real draw of the Google Store, however, is the aggressive trade-in program. Depending on the make and model of the smartphone you are handing over, Google’s trade-in values can knock the upfront cost of the Pixel 10a down to as low as $49.
Iterative upgrades
While the Pixel 10a looks practically identical to last year’s model, it brings a few specific hardware refinements. The display is now protected by stronger Gorilla Glass 7i and gets roughly 11 percent brighter, capable of hitting a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Google also managed to shave down the display bezels by 10 percent, giving the front of the device a slightly more modern look.

Internally, the hardware is very similar to the Pixel 9a, powered by the same Tensor G4 processor paired with 8GB of RAM. This memory constraint is the primary reason the Pixel 10a misses out on some of the heavier AI-powered tools found on the flagship models, such as Magic Cue and Pixel Screenshots. It also lacks support for PixelSnap, meaning you won’t be able to tap into Google’s new ecosystem of magnetic accessories. Despite these omissions, the Pixel 10a delivers a solid Android experience, especially when taking advantage of these early pre-order promotions.
