The new Lenovo Chromebook Plus 2-in-1 just got its first big price drop at $130 off

Just a couple of weeks ago, a brand-new Lenovo Chromebook Plus 2-in-1 popped up at Best Buy out of nowhere. The spec sheet is pretty impressive, too, but the asking price was a bit high in my opinion. After all, $579 is inching up quite close to the $649 of the very excellent Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 – at least the lower spec’d model, anyway.

However, things are quickly changing as Best Buy has knocked $130 off the price, bringing this brand-new convertible down to just $449. At this sort of price, the new 2-in-1 from Lenovo makes a lot more sense.

We haven’t even had a chance to get this device in for a full review yet, but the spec sheet tells you much of what you need to know. For $449, you are getting a solid feature set, including:

• 14-inch 1920×1200 IPS touchscreen at 300 nits
• 5.0MP with a physical privacy shutter

• Wi-Fi 6E + Bluetooth 5.3

While I’d love to get my hands on this one right away, we’re still patiently waiting for Lenovo to send one over. It looks quite solid, though, and as long as the build quality is somewhere near what they did with the Chromebook Plus 14, I’d say the new Lenovo Chromebook Plus 2-in-1 is a fantastic purchase at this $449 price point. Though it seems this device was built to be on sale, it is the first discount on it so far, so we really don’t know how long that will hold up. Don’t miss it!
