Chances are, you’ve heard of the website Rakuten. Lately, the world-wide e-commerce company has saturated the airwaves with commercials featuring cash kiosks where real people win real money for pronouncing the Japanese company’s name correctly. The campaign is pretty catchy and it has brought the online marketplace to the forefront of the U.S. consumer arena.

Still doesn’t ring a bell? You may be familiar with one of their larger products. Rakuten is the company behind Ebates, the world’s leading “cash back” program that “pays you to shop.” In simple terms, Ebates benefits by affiliate relationships with countless online retailers and they kick back a portion of those affiliate profits to you, the consumer.

History lesson over.

For shoppers, Rakuten.com and their affiliates offer savings in the form of flash deals, point-based rewards and exclusive offers for members. You won’t always find the best deal on a specific product when doing a general search but catching a daily deal can bank you some great savings and you can even collect your Ebates cash back if you use the platform.

For the remainder of the day, you can score a site-wide 15% discount on anything and everything from Rakuten’s shop and that includes Chromebooks. Again, you will have to do a little digging to find the best deal. Some devices are priced above where you would find them on other sites such as Amazon or Best Buy but if you’re lucky, you can pick up a Chromebook like the Lenovo 500e and get out cheap.

The Lenovo is just one example but it is a good one. The Gen 1 Apollo Lake convertible is normally priced between $279 and $300 but with the site-wide discount, you can have the Lenovo headed your way $271 out the door and you can earn an extra cash back from Ebates for up to 6%.

This includes ANYTHING on Rakuten. Literally, hundreds of thousands of products. Tech, fashion, health and wellness and everything in between up to $60 in savings. The sale ends at 11:59PST so you still have time to sign up and save if you’re not already a Rakuten member.

You will need to do some price comparisons to make sure you’re getting the best deal. If it’s a Chromebook or accessory you’re looking for and you’re not sure if it’s a good deal, shoot me an email or drop a comment below and I will do my best to help. Don’t forget to sign up for Ebates and grab the Chrome extension to score that extra cash back.
