Samsung is quietly increasing the US prices across a wide range of its smartphones and tablets. If you were planning to pick up a Galaxy Z Flip 7, an S25 FE, or basically any of their current tablets, you are going to be paying more than you would have just a few weeks ago.
For smartphones, the price hikes seem to be specifically targeting the higher storage tiers. While the base models are staying the same, stepping up your storage is going to cost you a bit more. As spotted by Phone Arena, the 512GB Galaxy Z Flip 7 jumped from $1,219.99 to $1,299.99, and the 256GB Galaxy S25 FE went from $709.99 to $749.99. Even the 512GB Galaxy S25 Edge saw an $80 bump to $1,299.99. This follows a similar price hike we saw last week on the higher storage configurations of the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
But where things get really rough is the tablet lineup. Unlike the phones, Samsung is raising the prices on their tablets across the board, regardless of which storage option you choose. The base 128GB Galaxy Tab S11 is now $899.99 instead of $799.99, and the Tab S10 FE jumped $50 to $549.99. Even their budget-friendly Tab A11 Plus went up by $50. Some of the higher-tier Tab S11 Ultra models are seeing increases of over $200.
These changes appear to be driven by an ongoing global memory shortage that is driving up the cost of RAM and flash storage across the tech industry. As we covered late last year, the high demand for AI data centers is causing companies like Google, OpenAI, and Meta to gobble up every high-bandwidth memory chip and high-density SSD they can find. Manufacturers are shifting production lines to focus on those high-margin AI chips, leaving the consumer market in a massive supply squeeze that is now hitting phone and tablet prices directly.
