Samsung has officially launched its latest additions to the Galaxy A-series in the United States: the Galaxy A26 and A36. These new devices bring compelling features to the mid-range market, most notably the debut of One UI 7 outside of the flagship S25 series. And they do so at pretty compelling price points, too.
Both the Galaxy A26 and A36 share fundamental specifications, including a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a substantial 5,000 mAh battery. This ensures users experience smooth visuals and prolonged usage. The primary distinctions between the two models lie in their camera systems and processing power.
The Galaxy A36 features a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro lens, complemented by a 12MP front-facing camera. Internally, it is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
In contrast, the Galaxy A26 also sports a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide lens, but utilizes a 2MP macro lens. Its front camera is a 13MP sensor. The device runs on an Exynos 1380 chipset and also includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Both devices ship with One UI 7, based on Android 15, and Samsung commits to providing six years of Android OS and security patch updates. This long-term software support is a significant advantage for consumers seeking durable and up-to-date devices.
In terms of dimensions, the Galaxy A36 measures 162.9 x 78.2 x 7.4mm, while the Galaxy A26 is slightly thicker at 164.0 x 77.5 x 7.7mm. Both phones carry an IP67 certification, offering resistance to dust and water.
Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy A36 is available immediately, priced at $399. The Galaxy A26 will launch on March 28, with a price tag of $299 with Samsung also offering attractive trade-in deals, allowing customers to save $150 on either device. Additionally, those purchasing either the A26 or A36 can enjoy up to 60% off select Galaxy accessories, including the Galaxy Fit 3, Galaxy Buds FE, and Galaxy Watch FE.
These new Galaxy A-series phones represent a strategic move by Samsung to provide access to its latest software and hardware advancements in a more accessible price range. For those interested in exploring these devices further, detailed specifications and purchasing options are available on Samsung’s official website.
