Google is sparing no expense in promoting the latest line of #madebygoogle products. Like last year, Google is opening two “Pop Up” locations, one in New York and one in Los Angeles.
Shortly after the Pixel launch of 2016, the Google stores opened for the intended purpose of displaying the latest hardware including the Pixel phone, Google Home and Daydream VR but it was only for looking. Purchasing Google’s new products wasn’t an option at the Pop Ups.
This year, Google has a much more consumer-focused game plan. The stores will open on October 19th and remain so until the end of the holiday season. I have contacted Google to get the details of what the Pop Ups will offer and here is their official response.
Google is setting up (temporary) shop in two locations — Google @ Flatiron in New York City and Google @ WeHo in Los Angeles — from October 19th through December 31st, just in time for the holidays. We invite people to stop by to meet and experience our newest line of products.

The email continued on to say that products would, in fact, be available for purchase and that yet-to-be-released devices like the Pixelbook would be on display for customers to get their hands on. From there, you can place pre-orders for any of the coming soon items.
So, if you’re looking to check out Google’s new lineup including the Pixel 2 phones, Pixelbook, Google Home Mini and Max and more and you happen to be in the area of New York or L.A., this is the perfect opportunity. Even if you’re not in the market, the Pop Up stores would be a great sight to behold.
The New York store will be located at 110 Fifth Avenue and the L.A. Pop Up can be found at 8552 Melrose Avenue. If you make it by one of the Pop Ups, snap some photos and share with us on social media. We’d love to see you.
