I’ve always said Walmart’s Onn 4K Pro is the absolute best-value Google TV streaming device on the market. In fact, I’d argue it’s a much better buy than the Google TV Streamer 4K. But it looks like Walmart is taking a page right out of Google’s playbook for their next release.
Thanks to some new images that surfaced on Reddit (via 9to5Google), we are getting a very clear look at what appears to be the second-generation Onn 4K Pro set-top box. And it looks like the subtle, compact look of the original model is gone. Instead, this new device features a wider base and a rounded top that looks remarkably similar to the Google TV Streamer.

Around the back, it is packing USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, and an Ethernet port, along with a physical mute switch. If Walmart can throw a faster processor into this redesigned shell while keeping the price low, I think this is going to be an absolute home run.
And we might not have to wait very long to find out, either. If you check Walmart’s website right now, the current Onn 4K Pro is largely out of stock online. That usually means a replacement is imminent.
I will be keeping a very close eye on Walmart’s site over the next few weeks to see when this hardware officially drops. But what are your thoughts? Would you pick up a cheaper Google TV Streamer clone from Walmart, or do you prefer sticking with first-party Google hardware? Let me know down in the comments!
