After months of leaks, speculation, and some wild last-minute marketing, the Made by Google 2025 event is set to kick off in just a couple of hours. The main event begins today, Wednesday, August 20th, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most unique hardware launches Google has ever hosted.
How to watch the Made by Google 2025 event
The keynote will be livestreamed for everyone to watch on the official Made by Google YouTube channel. We’ve embedded the stream right here for you to watch along with us.
As always, we’ll also be doing a live chat with our Chrome Unboxed Plus community over on Discord, so make sure to sign up for your free trial below if you haven’t already and join in on the fun as we react to all the news in real-time.
What we’re expecting
This isn’t your typical tech keynote. To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Pixel, Google has pulled out all the stops. The event is being hosted by Jimmy Fallon and will feature a celebrity lineup of special guests, including NBA superstar Stephen Curry, F1 driver Lando Norris, and the Jonas Brothers. We’re expecting a much more mainstream, entertainment-focused show this year.
Of course, the hardware is still the main event. Here’s a quick rundown of what we’re expecting to see unveiled today:
- The full Pixel 10 lineup, including the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
- The Pixel Watch 4, likely in two different sizes.
- The affordable Pixel Buds 2a.
- New charging accessories, including the rumored “Pixelsnap” magnetic charger.
What not to expect: a magical ‘one more thing’
As we discussed earlier today, Google’s marketing has been teasing some “censored” surprises. But based on past experiences, we’re keeping our expectations in check. I would love to be wrong, but we are not anticipating a major, un-leaked hardware surprise. The known lineup is already massive and more than enough for a packed show.
It’s going to be a fun and very different couple of hours, so grab some popcorn and get ready! Stay tuned to Chrome Unboxed for full coverage and analysis of all the announcements.
