Building a quick interactive calculator, quiz, or dashboard inside the Gemini app has become pretty straightforward over the past few months. But actually moving that creation out of the chat interface and sharing it with anyone in the real wold has always introduced unnecessary friction, often requiring manual copying, formatting workarounds, or messy third-party embeds.

According to a new Google Workspace Updates blog post, that workflow just got significantly easier. Google is rolling out a native one-click export feature that takes interactive applications built directly in Gemini and drops them straight into a new, editable draft in Google Sites.

It is a clean, practical bridge between Google’s generative AI tools and its core productivity suite. Instead of treating interactive Gemini creations like isolated chat experiments, you can now push them directly into a collaborative web workspace ready for public or internal viewing.

How the new Gemini to Google Sites export works

The entire process bypasses the usual copy-paste routine completely. When you generate an interactive app in the Gemini web interface or mobile app, you simply select Export > Google Sites.

From there, Gemini automatically generates a private draft site where the application remains fully interactive out of the box. You don’t have to rebuild styling or inspect source code. Once inside the editor, you can add standard Google Sites components—like heading text, documentation, or companion Drive widgets—and publish the URL using existing organization permissions.

Availability and rollout pace

Google isn’t gating this behind a complex admin rollout. There are no new administrative toggles to flip in the Google Admin Console, though standard domain access rules still apply. As long as users have permission to create and edit Google Sites, the export option will appear automatically.

The feature is rolling out immediately to both Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains across the web, Android, and iOS. Google confirmed access across Google Workspace tiers, Workspace Individual accounts, and personal Google accounts with active Gemini access.
