Just last month, Google began the roll-out of “Ask Gemini in Meet,” a powerful, private AI assistant designed to make video calls more productive. Initially launched for Business Plus customers, this game-changing feature is now expanding its reach.
According to a new post on the Workspace Updates blog, Ask Gemini in Meet is now rolling out to Google Workspace Enterprise Standard and Enterprise Plus domains.

Your private meeting assistant gets wider reach
As a quick recap, Ask Gemini acts as your personal assistant during a meeting. It lives in a private side panel and can help you:
- Summarize ongoing discussions or get a recap of what someone specific said.
- Identify key takeaways, decisions, and action items to improve meeting outcomes.
- Catch up on what you missed if you joined late (provided Gemini-powered note-taking was enabled).
Google emphasizes that all your interactions with Ask Gemini are private to you. Importantly, no caption data is stored after the meeting ends, and using the feature doesn’t create any recording or transcript.
Rollout details
The rollout for Enterprise Standard and Enterprise Plus customers is beginning now:
- Rapid Release domains: Gradual rollout (up to 15 days) starting October 21, 2025.
- Scheduled Release domains: Extended rollout (potentially longer than 15 days) starting November 3, 2025.
Once this roll-out is complete, Ask Gemini in Meet will be available to Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, and Enterprise Plus customers. While it’s still limited to English meetings on the desktop for now, this expansion brings one of Google’s most powerful new AI meeting tools to a much larger group of enterprise users.
