On the heels of the release of Chrome 59 for Desktop, the Chrome team has announced the launch of the Android counter-part. Chrome 59 for Android will begin rolling out over the next days and weeks.
The update to version 59 doesn’t bring anything earth-shattering but the Chrome release blog does reveal an updated JavaScript engine that will reduce memory usage and speed up page loads. If you have some time and want to peruse the ins and outs of the update, the change log can be found here.
You can head over to the Google Play Store and see if your update is waiting for you. If not, be patient, the Chrome for Android updates generally roll-out in increments over days/weeks.
The best part of this release (in my opinion) is that the next step is Chrome OS 59. We’re anxious to see what is coming in the latest update for Chromebooks and Chrome devices. Stay tuned for details on that and don’t forget to check us out on YouTube. We have a lot of new reviews headed your way very, very soon.
