All of a sudden, I never leave home without the Logitech Casa Pop-Up Desk

When I first unboxed the Logitech Casa Pop-Up Desk over a year and a half ago, I was immediately impressed. I thought it was a brilliant, well-crafted, and thoughtfully designed set of accessories. But if I’m being honest, it didn’t immediately find a permanent place in my daily workflow. At the time, I had a dedicated desk I returned to every day with a full monitor setup, so a portable kit—no matter how clever—felt a bit like a great-but-not-necessary gadget for my specific routine.

Fast forward to today, and my life and work routine look completely different. And that “nice-to-have” gadget? It’s now a piece of my everyday carry that I literally never leave home without.

A new, nomadic work life

Over the six months, my work life has been completely upended. Our co-working office moved, and I launched a new, brick-and-mortar business – Proof Golf – that kept me out of a static office setting for months during the summer months.

Things have settled in a bit, and I’m back at the co-working space on a daily basis. But even though I come to the same place to work each day, I don’t have a dedicated, permanent desk anymore. I’m still a bit of a nomad on the daily, setting up shop wherever I can land. And this new reality has made the Logitech Casa an absolute necessity.

The indispensable travel companion

Having the Casa Pop-Up Desk in my bag makes any temporary space feel workable, comfortable, and productive in a matter of seconds. When I get to the office, a coffee shop, or wherever I’m settling in for the day, the first thing I do is open up and set up Casa. The stand instantly elevates my Chromebook to a more ergonomic level for longer work periods, and the included accessories are awesome.

The Casa Keys keyboard is simply fantastic to type on, offering a far more comfortable and tactile experience than most portable keyboards. And the Casa Touch trackpad, which had a few minor bugs with multi-finger gestures at launch, now works flawlessly. I’ve even settled into a great workflow where I use the large, smooth trackpad for general browsing and navigation, and keep my Logitech Pebble mouse handy for more intensive tasks like graphic design.

The Logitech Casa Pop-Up Desk really has gone from a clever accessory into an essential part of my mobile office. For anyone who finds themselves in a similar, non-traditional, nomadic style of work, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s been such a handy, easy-to-carry tool that I won’t be parting with anytime soon.
