ADT has just launched a promotion, running until May 7th, that you might want to take advantage of if you’ve been thinking about a new security system for your home this Spring. This deal offers new customers a unique opportunity to get a wireless Nest Doorbell and a Nest Cam for free.

The ADT Plus system, with its full Google Nest integration, leverages AI capabilities to provide features like facial recognition and automated door unlocking when paired with a compatible Yale smart lock. With an ADT system, users can also check on their camera systems through either the ADT+ application or Google Home, offering flexibility and convenience. This revamped ADT Plus system was launched in July 2024.

All the DIY packages (Self Setup) include easy installation options with no heavy duty tools needed, an improved app interface, and reliable sensors that you can count on to keep your home secure. The ADT Plus packages include a variety of sensors, such as motion, window/door, smoke, and leak detectors, providing comprehensive protection options.

Depending on how handy you are around the house, you can always hire an ADT Pro to handle the installation, but you’re going to pay extra for this. However, depending on your particular setup and camera placements, hiring a professional installer might be well-worth the extra cost.

How to score two free Nest devices through ADT

To qualify for the free Nest devices, new customers must purchase either a DIY system with a minimum spend of $269 or a professionally installed system with a minimum spend of $599. Additionally, an ADT monitoring subscription plan is required, involving either a long-term contract for professionally installed systems or a $40 monthly subscription for self-installed setups. You can add this deal to the “Security Starter” package that comes with 3 door/window sensors for $349, but if you can get away with only 2 sensors, you can get the “Outdoor Video” package for only $289.

Right now, the Nest Doorbell (battery) and the Nest Cam are both $179, so you’re saving $358 on these devices alone! And you can save even more if you’re willing to do the installation yourself.

For anyone considering a new home security system, especially those already in the Google ecosystem, this is a great deal! Yes, you will have the ongoing $40 monthly subscription but with the two free Nest cameras I still think this is a very attractive offer if you’re interested in a true home monitoring system. But remember that this deal ends in early May, so I’d start looking into options now if you’re interested.
