TCL is pushing the boundaries of tablet technology with their new NXTPAPER 11 Plus, a device designed to merge the functionality of a standard Android tablet with the eye-friendly experience of an e-reader. The NXTPAPER 11 Plus, unveiled at CES and now fully detailed at MWC 2025, focuses on delivering a versatile viewing experience without sacrificing performance.

The tablet boasts an 11.5-inch 2.2K display, utilizing TCL’s NXTPAPER 4.0 technology, promising better sharpness and more accurate colors. This 550 nit display also features a 120Hz refresh rate and an AI-powered Smart Eye Comfort mode to optimize viewing across various content types and lighting conditions. With the tap of a button, the display can be used in three modes: Regular, Ink Paper, or Color Paper.

Under its slim 6.5mm profile, the NXTPAPER 11 Plus houses a MediaTek Helio G100 processor running Android 15, 8/12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. An 8,000 mAh battery with 33W PD fast charging powers the device, so it should be able to handle both productivity and entertainment tasks. Weighing under 500 grams, the tablet also should be light and portable, which will be especially important when using this little guy as an e-reader.

TCL says the NXTPAPER 11 Plus will be available in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America with a starting price of €249! While they didn’t share exactly what that will translate to in the US, it’s expected to be priced under $300. This pricing, combined with its unique display technology and decent specs, positions the new NXTPAPER 11 Plus as a tempting device for anyone who has been thinking about getting an e-reader but could also get some use out of a small tablet.
