Today, we recieved an email with a link to a very interesting video.
In it, Sean at Riverdale Country School takes a rather aggressive approach in testing the durability of the Samsung Chromebook Plus and Pro. As an educator (he’s the Director of Academic Technology at Riverdale Country School), though he is impressed with the Samsung Chromebook pair, his main concern is durability.
As a matter of fact, one of our EDU contacts asked me about this same thing recently when I told her I was testing the Chromebook Pro.
Unwilling to put either of these devices through the rigorous torture of a drop test, I simply had to reply with ‘I’m not sure’ when asked about the device’s durability.
Well, you and I both can wonder no longer as Sean puts the Samsung Chromebook Plus to the test. Drops from every angle on both thin carpet and hard tile prove what this Chromebook is made of.
As you can tell from the title, I’m shocked at how well it did.
Take a look for yourself, but be warned: if you don’t like seeing gadgets and hard surfaces meet at high speeds, this is cringe-worthy at spots. It does, however, highlight the surprising durability of Samsung’s latest Chromebooks.
With the thin form factor, I honestly thought this would end very badly. Give the video a watch, see if you make it all the way through, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
