Hey, Canada! Here’s a Chromebook deal just for you

Our friends to the North don’t get enough love when it comes to scoring good Chromebook deals. Yes, there are more than 150 Best Buy locations in Canada as well as retailers like Amazon and Staples but I simply don’t stumble upon a wide variety of sales out of the Great White North. Thankfully, today is an exception to that rule.

Best Buy Canada is running one heck of a sale on the formidable 11th Generation HP Chromebook x360 14c. Like the model here in the states, the latest HP 2-in-1 offers up an Intel Core i3 CPU with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of NVMe storage. With the 14-inch convertible, you get a well-placed fingerprint sensor, USI stylus compatibility, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.0. The Chromebook x360 14c also offers up a solid variety of ports with 2 x USB-C, 1 x USB-A and a MicroSD slot for extra storage and data transfer.

All-in-all, the HP Chromebook x360 14c is one of the most well-rounded devices on the market. Our only complaint with the 2-in-1 is the lack-luster 250 nit display that HP has used in every iteration of this Chromebook. Apart from that, there’s really not much that isn’t really good about this laptop and when you can score one on sale, it makes it that much sweeter.

Right now, Best Buy Canada is selling the HP for $549.99 CAD which is $250 off the regular MSRP. That equates to roughly $440 USD and that’s a very palatable price for this Chromebook. I do have one warning for you. If you’re looking to take advantage of the newly launched Steam Alpha on Chrome OS, you’ll need to look elsewhere. This Core i3 CPU isn’t officially supported and you won’t be able to install Steam on your device. You may want to check out the Acer Chromebook Spin 713 which happens to be on sale at the moment for $899.99. For practically everything else you’d do with a Chromebook, the HP will serve you very well and save you some serious cash.
