Google is at it again, slashing some overhead off the price on a Google Home. With this deal, though, you need to be buying a couple of them.
At our house, we have a single Google Home and that seems to be enough. Our home isn’t huge and there’s really only one main living space with the living room, kitchen and dining room all in one large area. For us, Google Home’s ability to hear across a large room serves just fine.
I suppose, if I was given another to use, my kids would LOVE having one in their rooms. We listen to a lot of music and the kids love queuing up their favorite songs with just their voice. Since Google Home’s speaker setup is pretty good, it serves as a decent music player.
As they are getting older and more creative, Google Home is becoming a way for them to play videos, answer questions, and have a little fun.
I could see them having one in their room to do some of those things from time to time. And, before everyone gets all bent out of shape about an always-on device in my kids’ rooms, we utilize the mic-off button liberally.
