chromecast2Did you just buy a shiny, new Chromecast this weekend? Maybe you’ve had one for a long time.

Maybe you are thinking about getting one soon or hoping to get one for Christmas.

No matter your situation, one thing you should be aware of if you own a Chromecast is where to find offers.

What Are Offers?

First off, Chromecast Offers are deals worked out with content producers (including Google) to provide special, short-term deals for owners of Chromecasts. Things like 3 months of free HBO, half-off rentals from Google Play, and a few free months of Netflix or Hulu have all been on offer.

I’d imagine those things will be on offer again along with all sorts of other nice little goodies that many folks never see or take advantage of.

I’ll be completely honest, when I saw +Brent Sullivan’s Google Plus post today that 3 months of HBO was on offer, I decided to take a look for the first time.

Granted, when you get a new Chromecast, you might get an email or a notification on your device giving you a heads-up about some deals on offer, but a month or two down the line, those notifications are less prevalent. I haven’t checked for offers for a long, long time.

I actually had to do a bit of searching around to figure out where to find offers on my Chromecast, so I figured a quick how-to was needed.

Where To Find Chromecast Offers

This really couldn’t be more simple. Given the Chromecast doesn’t really have a UI, it only makes sense that you would search for offers from the Google Home app. This app, in the event you are unaware, took the place of the Google Cast app not too long ago.

Once inside your app, hit the menu up on the left (or just swipe in from the left) and select ‘Offers’.

As you can see, there will be all sorts of stuff on offer. For me today, YouTube Red, 75% off any Google Play rental, NBA League Pass, and 90 days of free Play Music are all on offer.

The offer I showed up for isn’t appearing here, but I’ll keep checking back. Not all offers are extended to all Chromecast owners at the same time, so keep checking back a few times a week to see what else is on offer.

Hope this helps some of you get some great deals while using your Chromecast!
