As we somewhat patiently wait for the arrival of Chrome OS 56, the browser counterpart for Android has begun to roll out to devices around the world. Not much has been said to what the latest version of Google’s mobile browser would bring with it. But, according to the Chrome release blog, some very handy new features have been added.
Along with the usual bug fixes, security enhancements and stability fixes, some new in app features have been added. Check out what’s new:
- Quickly use emails, addresses, and phone numbers in web pages by tapping on them
- Easily access downloaded files and web pages from the new tab page
- Long press article suggestions on the new tab page to download them
The update will be available from the Google Play Store over the next few days. For more details of recent changes you can head over to the change log at the link below. Meanwhile, we’ll be here hitting the update button on our Chromebooks. Google, we love ya, but can we get some Chrome OS love? 🙂
