Google Exec John Malatis on Googlebook

I'm about to say the word Google Book.

That was the Right there, that was the

first time I've ever said that word to

anyone outside of the company.

[applause] I don't always say it. So,

I'm probably going to

bounce back and forth between code

names, but

no, we're we're uh incredibly excited

about about the product and the brand

associated with it. And you know, so

what we're what we're doing is we're

bringing, you know, world-class Chrome

browser, the powerful app portfolio of

the Play Store,

adding our own special sauce to the

experience, adding

key components of the Android tech stack

into this new category of devices that

we're calling Google Books. It's You

know, I think it's a testament to um our

our conviction in creating this new

category and and putting

you know, a very important corporate

brand

associated with our our product.
