Check out the new site for all kinds of Chrome OS goodness: http://chromeunboxed.com
In this video, I unbox the White Acer C720P. This device is pretty similar to the other Acer C720 I unboxed and reviewed earlier (subscribe and see my channel for all the other videos) with a few changes.
First, it is white and quite a bit nicer to look at. Secondly, it has only 2GB of RAM vs. the 4GB in the previous model. And third, it has a touchscreen.
As always, I'll work with this device for a few days and give my fuller impressions in a full review a bit down the road.
Hope you enjoy the video! Subscribe and like this video if you like what you are seeing!

hey everyone Robbie pain with chrome
0:02
unboxed coming at you today with an
0:04
unboxing of the Acer c720 P - 2600 which
0:09
translates into the white version of the
0:12
touchscreen Acer c720 Chromebook now as
0:16
you all know this Chromebook comes in a
0:19
variety of configurations different
0:21
amounts of RAM touchscreen no
0:23
touchscreen and now we have the white
0:25
color which from the pictures I've seen
0:27
online
0:27
looks pretty attractive the internals
0:30
we'll get into in just a second so we'll
0:33
go ahead and move forward with getting
0:34
this guy and bucks for those are you
0:39
curious on how to get a hold of this one
0:41
the only place I've seen it thus far is
0:43
straight from ace through themselves I'm
0:48
sure in a matter of time it will be
0:50
available on Amazon and probably best
0:55
buy that kind of thing
1:01
and here is our Acer c720 Pete now the
1:07
2600 that I mention after that that just
1:09
I believe that that just applies to the
1:12
white version is all that really stands
1:13
for what's up see see 720p the P
1:17
indicates what so if you're if you're
1:18
looking at ordering because they sir
1:19
does have a lot of these models out see
1:21
720 is kind of the main and I'm part of
1:24
it he indicates that it's a touch model
1:26
and then the different numbers
1:27
afterwards
1:28
have to do with different configuration
1:29
usually in RAM and SSD that kind of
1:32
stuff so I look around the box all your
1:37
normal eyesore stuff funny
1:39
even on the back they don't show it and
1:40
white this would be a real bummer if I
1:42
open this up and it's not white either
1:46
way I would review it is the touch one I
1:48
just wanted to get the white one so that
1:49
it is white here so hopefully that's
1:51
what we're gonna see I wanted to get the
1:55
white one just because it kind of covers
1:56
a couple different bases you get the the
1:59
new color on the aesthetic part of it
2:01
along with the
2:05
touch configuration broke the box not
2:14
sure what's going on here there we go
2:16
maybe I can reassemble that or something
2:19
anyway so it looks like it's boxed up
2:29
pretty similar to the see 720p just the
2:34
plain one basic stuff here oh nice touch
2:39
nice touch
2:40
same charge block is the regular cheat
2:42
720 but they gave it to us and white
2:44
that's pretty awesome I think yeah same
2:49
casing asleep originally Circe's over 20
2:51
kind of this cloth type stuff here and
3:00
leave us with just the device we'll say
3:02
at first glance the device is a lot more
3:05
attractive than the original c720 the
3:07
grey version upon first inspection it
3:11
has a little bit of resemblance to the
3:14
HP 11 not a ton and it still looks
3:16
different definitely doesn't have the
3:18
kind of pill shape that the HP 11 does
3:20
take a look around the sides again it's
3:22
all gonna be familiar we have a
3:24
full-size SD card slot USB 3.0
3:28
Kensington for fans non-activated SIM
3:32
slot here and presumably at some point
3:35
they'll have a 3G 4G version I could
3:37
already I'm not sure right now I'm sorry
3:41
I said 3.0 on the other side that was a
3:42
2.0 this is the USB 3.0 you see the blue
3:44
interior you got your combo jack here
3:48
for headphones microphone HDMI port and
3:50
then your charging cable spot along the
3:54
bottom and I will see the feet we see
3:57
fans let me see these speakers and so
4:00
again identical guys this is the exact
4:02
same thing
4:04
hardware speaking but man the white just
4:07
gives it a much better look
4:09
it's probably just my senses playing
4:13
tricks on me honestly it feels less
4:16
cheap than the great one again that
4:19
could just be senses opened it up right
4:25
off the back I really like what I'm
4:28
seeing here not just the black on white
4:31
because that's really nice-looking in
4:33
general but on the other models you know
4:36
kind of the cheap plastic bezel this one
4:38
is actually getting a soft touch bezel
4:40
and then the velocity part of the strain
4:43
covers over to here so that part alone
4:46
is just a much nicer look the screen is
4:51
definitely plastic for anybody who's
4:53
keeping up out there and we'll see if
4:56
this guy's gonna turn on for me mostly
4:58
Chromebooks I get in the mail just will
5:04
not turn on until I them in so give
5:09
me just a second I'll be right back in a
5:12
little powder this guy up okay we're
5:14
back plugged it in and then hit the
5:16
power button it turned right on so turn
5:18
it off I'll come back on just so you can
5:20
see the the quick boot up this is pretty
5:25
much true of any Chrome device
5:26
especially those running that has well -
5:28
and it's it's boot about ready to go
5:31
obviously we'll run it through its paces
5:33
all that kind of stuff in the full
5:35
review this is just my initial
5:37
impressions of it I will say a couple
5:39
things right out of the gate a the the
5:43
touch panel on the original Acer c720
5:47
had a little bit of texture to it
5:48
this one's really smooth I like the way
5:52
it feels
5:53
already secondly the one thing I did
5:56
like about the c7 28 everything felt
5:58
real firm up here still very true this
6:01
one it seems to pick up less
6:03
fingerprints already which is pretty
6:05
awesome
6:07
and then the screen actually still
6:12
washed out a little bit but I think the
6:14
matte finish on the original c720 added
6:17
a little bit of blurriness greatness to
6:20
the already not stellar display and this
6:23
one actually looks a lot better again
6:27
after I spent some time with it and the
6:29
real use case scenarios that Oh that'll
6:32
really tell see if that's was working
6:35
just fine not really sure
6:44
sometimes languages there we go
6:50
that would be unfortunate have to get
6:53
power wash so beginning the United
6:55
States No
6:59
so yeah Tess works quite well overall
7:02
aesthetic very pleasing let's for the
7:06
next few days using it working with it
7:09
comparing it straight up with the HP 14
7:12
that is currently my favorite Chromebook
7:16
and we'll see we'll see how it fares
7:18
we'll see how it works and see how it
7:21
holds up and see how the touch is really
7:25
used I I have a feeling that where the
7:27
touch is gonna come in handy a little
7:29
more than not having it it's in the
7:31
smaller form factor sitting on couch
7:33
something like that is where touch
7:34
really kind of becomes a really neat
7:36
thing kind of intuitive I don't see how
7:38
it works out of her I've heard some
7:40
different things about touch on Chrome
7:41
OS and it's not completely optimized yet
7:43
one of the thing to be working out for
7:45
is I'm gonna actually use this device to
7:47
film how to install Linux abouttwo unity
7:53
desktop specifically on this device it
7:55
had a lot of people asking about that
7:57
and so I've been waiting to get it kind
7:59
of clean Chrome OS device I know I
8:02
could've power wash my HP 14 but I've
8:04
got it set up really nice like the way
8:06
it's working especially with the
8:07
Bluetooth side of things and so I didn't
8:10
want to power wash it and start over
8:11
with it so I knew eventually I'd be
8:13
getting another one of these to review
8:14
and I would do it at that point so at
8:16
that point is now so that video will be
8:18
coming as well once I gave it a go to
8:20
install on this guy so thanks again for
8:22
watching and thanks everyone for
8:24
subscribing if you haven't subscribed
8:27
subscribe below if you like Chrome if
8:29
you like Chrome OS if you're into
8:31
Chromebooks and chromeboxes and
8:33
chromeboxes and all the stuff that seems
8:35
to be coming down the pipe right now I'm
8:37
going to be discovering everything and
8:39
if you haven't already check out the web
8:41
page it is chrome unboxed comm love to
8:45
see you following the news there I
8:47
covered some things on that page that I
8:48
don't cover in end videos and so a lot
8:51
of stuff going on chrome Chrome OS and
8:54
Google in general and so it's gonna be a
8:56
lot of stuff to cover a lot of cool
8:57
things happen in this year I'm looking
8:58
very forward to it so again thanks for
9:00
thanks for watching the video and we'll
