Everyone talks about the massive screen, but nobody mentions the weird little quirks of owning a Galaxy Z Fold8!

I've only had this phone, the Galaxy
0:01
ZFold 8, for about 24 [music] hours. And
0:04
there are three things about it that I
0:06
wouldn't say that I don't like, but
0:07
things [music] that I just did not
0:09
expect. So, first thing, what I didn't
0:10
really think about was the fact that
0:12
since it's a shorter screen, when I
0:14
scroll content, any kind of thing that's
0:16
in a vertical feed, my habit is to keep
0:18
my thumb right about here. Well, on this
0:20
screen, that's literally right in the
0:22
middle of the content. So, I'm going to
0:23
have to relearn how to [music] hold my
0:25
hand while I scroll to kind of keep my
0:27
thumb out of the way. And then on the
0:28
inner screen, since we got this nice
0:30
wide layout, you would think it'd
0:32
[music] be kind of more like, you know,
0:33
scrolling on a computer, but it's still
0:36
really mobile layouts because of the
0:37
resolution. So, this kind of wide
0:39
[music] format here isn't the best for
0:41
reading. So, I end up having to open the
0:43
phone, then usually switch [music] to
0:46
kind of the portrait view in order to
0:48
read through longer posts like this. So,
0:50
those first two kind of go [music]
0:51
together. We're talking about, you know,
0:52
feeds and web content. The other one's
0:54
kind of weird. You'd expect if I turn
0:56
this thing vertical and it reorients, it
0:57
would put the stuff on the left up top,
0:59
but instead it puts it down low. [music]
1:01
Small gripe, not a huge deal, but this
1:03
is kind of a weird layout for my home
1:05
screen now that I [music] don't really
1:06
care for. Then finally, because of the
1:09
pretty massive camera hump here and the
1:11
fact again that this is a short phone uh
1:13
in my car, when I go to set it down on
1:15
the, you know, the charging pad that's
1:17
built into [music] the car, the coil
1:18
doesn't line up. So, I've actually got
1:20
to put some bumpers underneath here to
1:22
raise the phone up to actually reach
1:23
that [music] uh wireless charging. But
1:25
all that being said, those kind of
1:26
oddities in no way negate the fact that
1:29
this is an awesome phone [music] and it
1:31
does awesome stuff and it's absolutely
1:33
staying in my pocket.
