Perhaps you’ve just found yourself in possession of a nice, new Chromebook. Maybe you’ve been here for a while. Either way, there are a few keyboard shortcuts that newer and older users alike and may find themselves searching for.
First off, the quickest way to reference keyboard shortcuts on your Chromebook is to hit CTRL + ALT + ?
This will give you an overlay and allow you to hold SHIFT, CTRL, ALT or any combination of them to see what shortcuts you can get into.
To be honest, as usable and handy as this is, the sheer volume of shortcuts can be a bit overwhelming. That is why we wanted to highlight a few of the more prominent key combos that newer users may be searching for after coming from another OS.

Caps Lock: ALT + SEARCH
Delete: ALT + BACKSPACE
Screenshot: CTRL + F5 (overview key)
Cropped Screenshot: CTRL + SHIFT + F5 (overview key)
New Terminal: CTRL + ALT + T
Print: CTRL + P
Home: CTRL + ALT + Up Arrow
End: CTRL + ALT + Down Arrow
New Tab: CTRL + T
New Incognito Window: CTRL + SHIFT + N
Open Link In New Tab: Hold CTRL and click link
Zoom In/Out: CTRL + +/-
Change Resolution: CTRL + SHIFT + +/-
New Folder (in file manager): CTRL + E
Rename File/Folder (in file manager): CTRL + ENTER
Cut/Copy/Paste (same as Windows): CTRL + X, CTRL + C, CTRL + V
Select All (same as Window): CTRL + A
Now, there are tons more shortcuts, but we wanted to share the ones that get used by the Chrome Unboxed crew on a daily basis. Again, you can hit CTRL + ALT + ? to see all the available shortcuts at any point.
