At IFA Berlin, Acer continued their streak of announcing a new Chromebook and this one is quite impressive. Not the revamped Chromebook 14 I am longing for but the new 15.6″ aluminum device from Acer is a major step up from its predecessors.
However, the first hands on of the Acer Chromebook 15 revealed a discrepancy when compared to the specs from Acer’s press release.
Also, customers can connect peripherals to the Chromebook 15 via Bluetooth 4.2, two USB 3.0, an HDMI port and a combo headphone/speaker jack.
One little problem.
Clearly, from the Acer Chromebook 15 landing page, the latest iteration is sans an HDMI port. Ok, so this isn’t the end of the world but still, for the average consumer who uses an external monitor, this could be a major point of confusion.
Thankfully, we have a good friend who was happy to ping Acer on Twitter and they were pretty quick to clear up the confusion.
The new Chromebook 15 doesn’t come with HDMI, but comes with two type-C USB 3.1 ports for data, display and power.
