Moonlighter is an action RPG that sees you venturing into a procedurally generated dungeon to slay monsters and collect their loot by night so that you can sell it in your shop and turn a profit by day in Rynoka village. You inherit the shop from your father who went missing and must continue his legacy. During 11-Bit’s livestream during the Guerrilla Collective today, they announced a mobile version of the game to be released this summer.
During a long-passed archaeological excavation, a set of Gates were discovered. People quickly realized that these ancient passages lead to different realms and dimensions – providing brave and reckless adventurers with treasures beyond measure. Rynoka, a small commercial village, was founded near the excavation site providing refuge and a place for adventurers to sell their hard-earned riches.
The mobile version of the game won’t be a simple port, but rather a new approach to the game entirely centered around making the controls and combat work natively for mobile devices. For example, your character will auto attack when you approach enemies, similar to what Dead Cells just did with their mobile port and you will swipe to dodge instead of using an on screen button.
Moonlighter for mobile will include the base game and all of the DLC. More information will be available as we get closer to the game’s launch date. As always, I’m looking forward to seeing how this plays on my Chromebook as well!
