If there were any doubt left that the Google Assistant would soon make its home in third-party headphones, this should solidify the overwhelming evidence from the past few weeks.
A report from Liliputing reveals a Redditor who stumbled upon a local selling app listing the Bose Quiet Comfort II headphones equipped with the Google Assistant. Blacmac claims he found the Assistant-enabled headphones on a local selling app and even though the listing has been removed, he was able to share the following images.
Obviously, these headphones weren’t meant to be out in the wild and while there is always the chance of a fake, what we can make out on the box lines up with the original Bose QC35 headphones with the addition of details from the latest leaks.
With the amount of information being spread across the web and these latest photos, it is possible we may see the Bose QC35 II headphones at the upcoming Google event as an example of what we can expect from manufacturers. It may also be Bose getting ready to announce their headphones post-October 4 announcements.
Either way, I have no doubt we will see these and likely other Assistant headphones in the coming months as we gear up for the holiday shopping season.
