Google Home is learning new tricks every day and Google has continued to bolster sales with deals and promotions for the #madebygoogle smart-speaker. On the aesthetic side, Google offers a variety of bases, both metal and fabric, to give your Google Home a touch of personal flare.
If you’re looking to take your design game to another level, I want to share some third-party options that will give your Google Home a look all its own to make your tech as unique as you. Thanks to an inquisitive reader who noted the wood-grain Home in this CNET article, I was lead to look around to find custom skins for the top half of the Google Home speaker.
I wasn’t surprised to find more than a handful of companies that make these vinyl decals. Even WalMart carries a pretty good selection to customize your device. Some of the best I’ve found come from some pretty familiar names in the device decal business. SkinIt and Matrix Productions both offer a wide variety of skins for Google Home. Skinit even lets you create your own by uploading images for the top and side of your device.
Here’s just a few from a number of companies for as little as $10.
If you want to take it a little further, check out skins for your Chromebooks as well. These vinyl decals not only help you express your individuality but provide some surface protection for your devices as well.
Special thanks to Jason B. for the email.
