Google may be moving forward with creating a global market for #madebygoogle products but the fact remains that Chromebooks are grossly limited in availability outside the U.S. arena. Frédéric Stojicevic, curator of ChromebookLive, is a man on a mission to change that one signature at a time.
Last week Fred started a petition on the popular appeal site, Change.org imploring Chromebook manufacturers Samsung and ASUS to expand their Chrome device market to France. Specifically, the petition is a call for the Chromebook makers to bring the ASUS C302 and Samsung Chromebook Plus/Pro.
While devices are available in France, the range is limited and the inventory I have found appears to be isolated to Amazon’s French storefront. The aforementioned devices are not available in France and no internal news points to a release in the future.
We want to help spread the word and help Fred and the Chromebook communities in France share their voices with ASUS and Samsung. Check out the link below to sign the petition and share among your circles.
I have reached out to Fred to see what is next once the signature goal is reached. In the meantime we can do our part by joining the cause. It only takes a minute so let’s spread the Chrome love.
