In late June HP quietly released the 5th generation of their budget-friendly HP Chromebook 11.
This version, like its predecessors, targeted the cost-conscious consumer while giving a better than average performance.
This model offered a previously unavailable feature in the 11.6″ line; a touchscreen.
Retailing anywhere from $255-$315 the Braswell-based Chromebook offered the promise of Android Apps and the versatility of an IPS touch display.
For what is sure to be a limited time, you can pick the HP Chromebook 11 G5 up from Sam’s Club for a cool $209.
In the land of Android Apps touchscreens are king. Now, it’s not the convertible form factor that continues to gain steam in the Chrome OS world but it’s more than capable of handling daily tasks and delivering a pleasing Android experience.
With 4GB of ram and the Braswell N3060 processor, the HD IPS touchscreen makes this model a rare breed at or around $200.
Did we mention HP is advertising 11 1/2 hours on a full charge? From what we’ve seen from the Braswell, everyday use should get you somewhere in that ballpark.
