After being pulled from the Stadia Pro lineup on July 16th, many gamers became upset that The Elder Scrolls Online was not available for them to start playing once they began their free trial with Stadia. Luckily, the standard edition of the game is now just $7.99 until October 5th. This allows anyone interested in getting their beak wet to get the base game for just the price of a coffee and a bagel.
We’ve already told you everything you need to know about The Elder Scrolls Online back in June when the Greymoor expansion launched. The Standard Edition Includes the base game and The Morrowind Chapter. After playing tons of the standard edition, myself, I can confidently say it’s enough content for me as a busy dad and entrepreneur. I still haven’t felt the need to buy any of the expansions and I don’t think you will either, provided you’re new to the world of Tamriel like I am.
However, if you decide that you’re obsessed with the game, you have plenty of other content to snag over time as the game world and its lore are very rich and diverse. In fact, if you want to expand your play time a bunch, now may be the time to bundle up. Bethesda’s sale includes the following until October 5th as well:
- The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor Upgrade – $19.99 USD, €19.99
- The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor Collector’s Upgrade – $24.99 USD, €27.49
- The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor – $29.99 USD, €34.99
- The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor Collector’s Edition – $39.99 USD, €44.99
Just a quick heads up though, if you add the Greymoor Upgrade to your cart and feel that you’ll make use of the extra content, remove the Standard Edition from your cart before checking out as Greymoor includes the base game!
Don’t forget that no matter what version of the game you buy on Stadia, you can play cross platform with Mac and PC by linking your account. Lastly, we always encourage you to claim all Stadia Pro titles, even if you don’t feel you are interested in them. Your taste may change over time and you may regret not doing so. If you don’t want titles you’ve claimed to show in your library, you can simply hide them with the Stadia Plus extension.
