Here’s your next Early Black Friday deal and this one can score you a 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake convertible that comes with a fingerprint sensor and B&O audio for the low price of $499. The HP Chromebook x360 14c is the latest model in HP’s premium consumer lineup and it builds on everything we loved about the original x360 14 while bumping up performance and adding some welcome features that are quickly becoming commonplace in flagship Chrome OS devices.
For starters, the HP Chromebook x360 14c features a wisely placed fingerprint sensor that makes logging into your Chromebook a breeze. Having extensively used a device with a biometric sensor directly beneath the keyboard, I find myself missing this feature when I do not have it. I recently started using the PIN lock on Chrome OS which has quickly become my best friend but I still prefer the swift and easy method of the fingerprint sensor over any other login method.
Second, the HP Chromebook x360 14c supports the emerging USI stylus tech which means you can grab a USI-compatible pen from the maker of your choice and you can rest assured that it will work out of the box. This will be the standard moving forward for most Chrome OS devices and it is a great selling point for any and all touch-enabled 2-in-1, detachable, or tablet form factors.
These features combined with the powerful Core i3 CPU and 8GB of RAM make the HP Chromebook x360 14c a formidable device for even the most demanding user. At $499, this isn’t the best deal we’ve seen on the HP but it still makes it one of the most affordable flagship-caliber devices available right now. Granted, we do know that the price will drop even more the closer we get to Black Friday but for those that need a really good Chromebook and need it now, this should definitely be on your shortlist.
