The availability of the new Asus Chromebook Flip has been a bit of a mystery. With a number of “accidental” listings, it has been a bit unclear as it if this new convertible Chromebook is even officially a thing.
With day 1 of CES Las Vegas under way, it looks like the much-anticipated device is making its way into the public eye. With no actual announcement of the C302 at Asus’ press event, we weren’t sure what the delay was. But, we have since received word from Asus that the Chromebook C302 is official and available for purchase.
We have found a few listings and wanted to share them with you.
Newegg
Newegg was inadvertently list the Asus a few weeks back but quickly pulled it and cancelled most, if not all orders that had been placed. Now the online retailer has relisted their original device and we actually received a call just a few hours ago to inquire if we wanted to resubmit our order.
Newegg’s listing hasn’t changed and it appears they are offering the Skylake M3 model with 64GB and 4GB of ram for $499. The Asus is in-stock and available. You can pick it up at the link below.

BH Photo
BH Photo has, just a few hours ago, listed the same model as Newegg and the throw in their normal free, expedited shipping.

Best Buy
Here are where the waters get a little murky. We picked up our Asus from Best Buy and received the lesser Pentium model with only 32GB of storage. We paid $499 for it but honestly, we wanted it and so far it has impressed across the board. The problem here is that the mid-level 64GB, Core M3 model is being sold for the same price.
It is unclear at this time where the discrepancy lies and if Best Buy’s listing is wrong, good for them for making a couple extra bucks but they should really get their site updated. You can find their listing below and compare to the other sites for good measure.
