As we roll into the 4th quarter of 2020, many minds are on very serious issues as we continue battling a pandemic and all the other complexities that this year has brought along. Regardless, we all know that holiday shopping is still going to happen, gifts will be given, and tech devices will be sold. While it all looks to be happening in different ways this time around, the basic premise is the same: as soon as a few things start going on sale, lots more follow.
Earlier today it feels like things got rolling in a real way as the very-popular Lenovo Chromebook Duet went on sale for the first time ever, perhaps marking the longest time a Chromebook has been on the market before getting its first mark down. In a similar spirit, Acer looks to be very excited about the fact that they have Chromebooks back in stock after a very rocky 6 months of a pandemic sales boom.
Right up front on the Acer Store website is a banner that very clearly announces that Chromebooks are back in stock, and if you’ve been trying to buy a Chromebook in the past 6 months, you can understand why this is a pretty big deal for both Acer and consumers alike.
I won’t hold you up any further except to tell you there are 7 models on offer all under $300 and all rocking the Celeron N4000 chips that we’ve found are good, middle-ground performers for students and general, everyday tasks. From 11-inch devices up to 15-inch variants, there’s likely something for everyone on offer by Acer right now. Pay attention to the screens, here, as some come with IPS panels and 1080p resolutions. Those will be your better displays, but edge you a bit closer to that $300 mark. Other than that, just pick the Chrombook that is best for your budget and has the screen size you would like while they are still here.
